Welcome to the Sketch Nature Website.

For the past couple of years I have been exploring nature through direct observation at nearby nature parks, botanical gardens and the forests in my back yard.  My main media include acrylics, colored pencil, watercolor, graphite and sumie (ink painting).  This site is a glimpse of some of some of my artwork.

This year (2011) I started sharing an art studio in Watkinsville, which has been a great aid in completing art work.

IMAGINARY LANDSCAPE:

This painting started out as a view of a Watkinsville, GA henbit invaded field. Then it morphed into this blue mountain landscape.  24x36 inches.  Acrylic
